How it works
Upscale Studio runs entirely in your browser. It decodes your video, enhances every frame on your graphics card, and re-encodes it. Nothing is uploaded to any server, so it is completely private and free. Processing takes about as long as the video is, so a 2 minute clip takes around 2 minutes.
Under the hood these are proven classical filters: bicubic resampling, edge-aware noise reduction, unsharp masking and color grading. Paid desktop tools like Topaz Video AI ($299+ per year) use neural networks that can invent detail that was never in the source; this tool does not pretend to do that. What it gives you is a cleaner, sharper, bigger video in one click, for free, without your footage ever leaving your machine.
Best results come from a modern Chrome, Edge or Safari browser on a computer with a decent graphics card. Keep this tab in the foreground while it processes.
